Lidé tráví dovolenou různě, někdo má rád pobyt u moře, někdo miluje klid na horách nebo na chalupě a další zase preferuje aktivní dovolenou nebo výpravy za dobrodružstvím.
Já jsem si oblíbil francouzské Toulouse.
Toulouse je čtvrtým největším francouzským městem s počtem obyvatel přes jeden milión. Ve městě se nachází továrna, ve které se vyrábí letadla Airbus. Kromě toho město vyniká architekturou červených cihel (najdete zde mnoho cihlových domů bez vnější fasády) a také tím, že patří mezi nejrychleji se rozvíjející francouzská města. Místní univerzita patří k nejstarším v Evropě.
Hlavní dominantou města je Kapitolské náměstí (Place du Capitole) kterému vévodí ohromná budova Kapitolu, kde dnes sídlí městská radnice, archív a další instituce.
Z Toulouse je to kousek do města Carcassone, kde najdete starobylý hrad s dochovaným opevněním. Cesta ke středozemnímu moři trvá z Toulouse asi 2 hodiny, do Andorry dojedete za 3 hodiny.
Návštěva Toulouse rozhodně stojí za to.
